Privacy Policy
Last updated October 27, 2026
This policy explains what data the Trust Player app for smart TVs and this website handle, why, and what you can do about it. Trust Player is operated by Trust Player LTDA, Brazil ("we"). Questions: [email protected].
1. Who does what
Trust Player is a media player. Your content provider is the company that gave you the Provider ID, username and password. It is a separate business, it decides what content you receive, and it has its own privacy practices. We run the app and the servers that link your TV to your provider.
2. Data the app handles
- TV identifier: the network MAC address of your TV. We use it to link the TV to your provider and to sign you in automatically.
- Provider account: the Provider ID, username and password you type. They are saved on the TV and sent to your provider's server to load your content. To make automatic sign-in work, they are also stored on our servers, linked to the MAC address, and your provider can see them in its panel.
- Technical data: app version, platform (Samsung, LG, Android, Roku or iOS), date of registration, last access, the IP address of each request (used for security and abuse limits) and a log of sign-ins and sign-outs.
- Settings on the TV: language, parental control, My list and playback progress are stored on the TV only.
The app does not ask for your name, email, phone number, location or payment details. It shows no ads, uses no advertising identifiers and has no third-party tracking. We do not sell personal data.
3. Content and images
Videos, channel lists, program guides and images come straight from your provider's server and, if your provider turns it on, images from TMDB. Those services receive your TV's IP address as part of normal internet traffic.
4. Why we use the data
- To provide the service you asked for: sign-in, automatic sign-in and keeping the TV linked to your provider (performance of a contract).
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems (legitimate interest).
5. Who we share it with
- Your provider and its resellers, through the provider panel.
- Companies that host our servers, under confidentiality duties.
- Public authorities, when the law requires it.
6. How long we keep it and how to delete it
- Sign out (Settings) removes the link between your TV and your provider from our servers.
- Reinstalling the app removes links created by signing in on the TV.
- Your provider can delete your TV from its panel at any time.
- Logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.
- You can ask us to delete your data at [email protected].
7. Your rights
Under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD) you can ask to confirm, access, correct, delete or port your data, learn who we share it with and withdraw consent. Write to [email protected]. You can also complain to the ANPD, Brazil's data protection authority. People in other countries can make the same requests by email.
8. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13. Parental control lets the account holder lock categories with a PIN.
9. Security
Access to the provider panel requires a login and is protected by attempt limits. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your provider password private.
10. This website
This website uses no cookies and no analytics. It saves your language choice in your browser.
